The Morgue Radio Show kicked off with Monster and Violet, along with Butcher, Fresh and Meat. In no time, additional DJs Goblin and Chuckles found their way into the sterile halls of the autopsy room and the explosive and vulgar conversations were quickly underway between heavy tracks from Insanity, Polterchrist, Autumn Black, and Finntroll.

Violet, obsessing about pornography and rectal stretching was eager to find every DJ's first experience with printed porn and curious about what was the filthiest thing we have all read, which prompted responses from Grim Fairy Tales, Suicide Blond, and a slew of long forgotten fiction books with alien sex before jumping back into the audio destruction from Immortal, Skinless, Armentar, and Stormlord.

Morgue Resurrects in 2010

Our first autopsy of 2010, The Morgue broadcasts the vocal death rattles of Monster, Violet, Butcher, and Mikey Mike.

This autopsy is opened with great power from the devastating Man Must Die and was followed up by the Deathstars. The show was pretty musically intensive for the first part of the night while the morticians were still shaking the earth of the grave from their hair, so cadavers got blasted by tracks from Armentar, Destroy Destroy Destroy, Cannibal Corpse, Darkane, and Behemoth among others.

Once the morticians did get their vocal chords vibrating, the sound was about politics and the thousands of new laws that rolled into place on New Year's day and the Obama family's blatant and disgusting shift from politician to television super-celebrities, causing more people to be interested in their guest appearances on brainless TV shows than on their shoddy politics.

Politics weren't the only thing on the minds and tongues of The Morgue's mental morticians as conversation sprouted from enema induced ass cannons to Sesame Street muppets as well as the news of acting legend, Christopher Lee's decision to create a metal band solely to brag about his ancestry.

A couple musical observations of the night: First- The band 1349 recently released the album Revelations Of The Black Flame which is musically a completely different sound than what 1349 fans are accustomed to...to what metal fans are accustomed to...in fact, it barely classifies as music unless it is used on a movie score and only during a really slow point.
Second- Arch Enemy recently released an album, The Root Of All Evil that is nothing more than a glorified greatest hits of their earlier work while with singer Johan Liiva but recreated to showcase current vocalist, Angela Gossow's vocal talents instead of their former male frontman. Not an essential album and not exciting.

Hi Everybody! Your friendly neighborhood Ninja here, to fling some throwing stars of musical wisdom right in your face. Are you a fan of great bands like Cannibal Corpse, Vomitory, & Deicide? Rose Funeral's "The Resting Sonata" offers all that and more, rolled up in a ball of bloody guts for your demented pleasure. With crushing grooves and insane two- tone vocals, you have your pick of songs like the cannibalistic "Created To Kill", the blackness of "Left To Rot", or the everyday brutality of "Buried Beneath". The most impressive part of this whole album is the fact that it's totally savage clean through, but when you hit the middle of the last track, you get hit with a totally power metal yodel (for want of a better word); it's awesome! This is a good album for a bad day, and really perks you up when you're pissed off and have to slip through the shadows to wreak a little vengeance on all who wronged you that day.

Holographic Universe

When Scar Symmetry's second album, Pitch | Black | Progress, was released, Monster took a chance at grabbing it up. The CD went directly from the checkout line at Hasting's into the stereo, which is where it stayed for an insane amount of time! So, two agonizing years later, when they decided to release Holographic Universe, picking up the album was a no brainer!
This group of Swedish song-crafters obviously worked hard on their third release to continue carrying the torch and did not disappoint! Their own mixture of technical death metal and powerful vocals screams through the wall of metal straight into your ears in a wave of euphoria. This album is an absolute must in a collection, even if it does land just an inch shy of their sophomore release.

May 9th

What started out as a calm and collected metal show with a small number of guest DJs ended up being a wild excursion into the realm of perversity and depravity! Monster and Violet started off the show in brutal fashion with some new Cannibal Corpse and also a track from Skinless. By the time these two tracks ran their course, Ninja and CS arrived along with Blade and shortly following were Goblin and Chuckles, quickly turning the broadcasting booth into a sweaty locker room for Hell's sports team, full of heat and body mass. Between the requests for Enslaved, Nile, Trivium, Vader, Suffocation, and many others as well as the shout outs from one listening cadaver to another, we found ourselves wrapped tightly between two stories of sexual exploration, each story incited by one of the female morticians within the booth.

First, CS had begun discussing issues with lactation and how her partner is on the verge of causing her to begin her breasty seeping, without the benefit of pregnancy due to his over-zealous attention to her chest glands. The resultant effect of this conversation was a finishing of what was started with CS bleeding milk.

Later in the episode, Violet's concern for making her Monster happy on their planned trip to Japan has caused her to need more information on the proper ettiquette for finding, making and giving soiled panties. This discussion lead into more fetish and secret desire discussion with the entire booth alight in arousal!

The battle of the band discussion this week was, which album from the eighties was better, Ozzy Osbourne's Diary Of A Madman or Motley Crue's Shout At The Devil? This was an excellent source of debate with the broadcasting booth torn in half on the decision and the final vote coming in from a long time listener in favor of Diary Of A Madman.

Our show ended on an upnote for mothers seeing that we ran into the wee hours of Mother's Day. To all the mommies out there, we gave Cannibal Corpse's Butchered At Birth! Happy Mother's Day!
